Alpha's Second Chance

Chapter 0305

MADELEINE

I had gotten so scared when I heard vampires had surrounded Noah and Enzo. So when I felt he was back, I had rushed to him, not noticing the three vampires at first. But as Logan and Noah were calm, I felt safe and relaxed.

The Vampire who they talked to was nothing like I had expected or even heard of. He was polite and calm as he spoke and maybe radiated a bit of nervousness. But that was understanding, thinking about how they were in a room full of two lycan kings, another lycan, and Logan's beta, Kyle, who used to be the Alpha's alpha.

It was not very nice to hear what that rouge leader wanted and was planning. It made me feel uncomfortable and scared. But I knew Noah would do anything to keep me safe, and I trusted him.

It has been two days since the vampires were here, and Olivia mindlinked me yesterday and told me that we had some plans to do. So today, I am going with her to start planning my crowning ceremony.

I was so nervous about this. Would I be a good queen? Not just to the people here but to the world. Would I be able to make Noah, the true king, proud? I hope

So.

"What is on your mind, my sweet girl," Olivia asked, and I let go of a heavy breath. Of course, she sensed it.

"The crowing, being queen, being a good queen so that Noah can be proud having me next to him. I'm not a warrior. I have barely any fighting skills. I suck at it, as I am sure you have seen when we train. Will I ever be of help? Maybe with my powers if I learn to use them." I am rambling, and she stops me.

"Stop, stop. My sweet girl. You are chosen by the moon goddess, not Noah personally. Even if he was drawn to you before, you both felt the matebond completely. You are still chosen by the moon-goddess, and she would not have chosen you were she not sure you can do it. There are other ways to make the people and Noah proud than fighting."

"But he needs someone who can fight with him," I say, and she smiles.noveldrama

"And he also needs someone with a big cold heart who can be there for his people when he needs to fight. And someone to watch his family and spread happiness and love. You might not be a skilled fighter, but you can still learn. And we will train your powers and get to understand them. You already do that for having a big heart, speaking happiness and love." Oliva tells me, and I think of what she says.

"You are right, thank you," I say as I calm myself down a little.

"You are welcome, now let's get your dress designed. Your beautiful black hair works perfectly with the pack's traditionally red color." She says and smiles.

We had reached the tailor that would be making my dress. And I smiled big when I saw Mom, Juliette, Gina and Rose here.

"I thought we could make a girls' day out of this," Olivia says, and I hug her.

"Thank you," I whisper.

"You welcome." She whispers back while hugging me back.

Several hours later, we have the design of the dress I will be wearing. We watched picture after picture, took ideas from different dresses and wrote it down. The tailor took my dress measurements and told me to come back a week before the ceremony so we were sure it still fit.

The colors would be red and golden-beige for the pattern she would sow into the dress. We were all excited to see when it was done. After we left, Olivia invited us all to lunch, so we went into a sweet-looking restaurant.

As we ate, we talked about the work

Olivia did for the pack here and for other packs, too. When she had just become queen, she created a program for wolves that had lost a mate, either by rejection or if a mate had died. She told about it and explained that after this program had been made less wolves had died

of the grief and pain.

She then asked me if I had something I really burned for, and I got a bit worried. Maybe she would think it was silly, but she encouraged me to tell them.

"Juliette and I used to spend time helping orphans have fun and learn about music and art. So that everything was not just about school and sitting around hoping someone someday would adopt them." I tell her, and she smiles.

"I had a feeling that you liked to be around children. And orphans need the attention more than others. In fact, the old wolf who is in charge of the orphanage here wants to step back soon. I know Gina is a warrior, but maybe you and Juliette want to take over." Olivia offers.

“Yes!” Juliette and I say that at the same time, and we all laugh a little.

"Perfect! That is wonderful. And we will work on that. We have a new orphan arriving in a few days. She comes from my old pack, and because of how her parents died, Alpha Carter fears for her safety and the way others will treat her." Olivia explains while we finish eating.
