Chapter 632
The weather was beautiful the next day.
Hendrix had someone take Noelle to the yard to enjoy the sun. She didn't object to the arrangement, but she was still in a listless state.
But then, a jolt went through her body when she heard Rosie's voice coming from behind. "Mommy!"
Noelle turned her head sharply to see Rosie running excitedly toward her.
Rosie wore a beautiful dress, her hair neatly tied into little braids.
Noelle, however, suddenly sprang to her feet and took a sharp step back. Her movements were frantic, as if she had seen something terrifying.
Noticing Noelle's reaction, Rosie's steps gradually slowed until she came to a stop. Then, she looked at Noelle in disbelief.
Noelle opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out.
Hendrix quickly walked over to Rosie and whispered something into her ear.
Rosie's eyes were still red, but she quickly pulled herself together. After wiping her eyes forcefully, she continued to walk toward Noelle.
Noelle still wanted to retreat, for she knew she wasn't capable of taking care of Rosie right now. In fact, she might even end up hurting her. However, she was also afraid of making Rosie sad, so she forced herself to stay still.
When Rosie finally reached her, she called out again, "Hi, Mommy."
Her voice was choked with sobs.
Noelle stared at her for a moment, then whispered, "I'm sorry."
Rosie shook her head repeatedly. "Mommy, can you hug me?" Noelle couldn't respond.
Without waiting for her to say anything, Rosie reached out and hugged Noelle tightly. Her arms were still thin and weak, but she seemed to use all her strength to hold onto Noelle. en
Noelle finally relaxed little by little, her previous stiffness gone.
"I missed you so much, Mommy!" Rosie said tearfully. "Mommy, I want to be with you. I only want to be with you. So, don't leave me, okay? I. promise to be good, and I won'task

Rosie hadn't even finished speaking when something in her words seemed to strike a nerve in Noelle. Her expression changed in an instant as she shoved Rosie away with all her might, causing Rosie to stumble before falling onto the grass.
"I'm sorry, Rosie!" Noelle immediately said, crouching down to help her up. Tears were already streaming down Rosie's face. But it wasn't from the pain from falling—it was because the person who had pushed her was her own mother.
"I'm sorry, Rosie. I didn't mean to push you. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." Noelle kept apologizing, trying to wipe Rosie's tears, but she couldn't even wipe her own.
Rosie stared at her for a moment, then suddenly reached out and wiped away her tears. "Mommy, don't cry. It doesn't hurt. I won't blame you, and I will never hate you."
Noelle looked up, gazing at her for a moment. Then, at last, she reached out and pulled Rosie into her arms.
In the days that followed, Hendrix took Rosie to see Noelle every day. Although Noelle remained silent most of the time, she seemed to be doing much better.
Even her psychologist said Noelle was gradually improving. And along with that, Rosie's trust in Hendrix grew stronger.
All in all, it seemed like everything was moving in a positive direction.
