Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1116

Before she knew it, Henry had slipped away again, finding his way to his

grandfather, where he was happily fed. Just as his mom arrived to scoop him up, he was spirited away once more.

On his journey back, Henry bumped into his uncle, who whisked him off to his private lounge. Then came his grandpa, and finally, he ran into his brother!

Leo scooped up the little guy with a grin and carried him off, and from that day on, Henry didn't wander off anymore. Thus ended Henry's little adventure of trying to find his dad.

As the party wound down, Henry finally spotted his father. "Daddy!" he called out.

Andre walked over, smiling, and took his son from his nephew's arms. "Had any drinks?"

Leo shook his head. "Nope, I haven't." At family get-togethers, it was the grown- ups who enjoyed the drinks. Being one of the younger ones, Leo made it a point to stay sober, ready to help out if the elders needed anything. So, he never drank when he was with his uncle.

Andre nodded, "Some of the older folks got a bit tipsy. Maybe you should check on them at the hotel later."

Leo nodded eagerly, feeling pleased that his uncle trusted him with responsibilities. It felt like the ice between them was slowly melting.

Soon, someone approached Andre for a chat, and he skillfully held his son with one arm while shaking hands and making conversation.

Henry loved being glued to his dad's side. When Mia tried to take him, he wrapped his arms tightly around his dad's neck, cherishing their closeness and not letting anyone separate them.

Back at the hotel, Anya lay on the bed, rolling back and forth, teaching her baby brother to roll over. "Asher, watch your big sis and give rolling a try."

Asher, who had just mastered lifting his head, looked at his sweet and innocent sister with a big, goofy smile.noveldrama

Anya sat up, scooped her brother into her arms, and said, "Mom, Dad, I have something to tell you."

"What's up?" they asked.

James widened his eyes, watching his beloved sister.

Anya spoke softly, "I'm not coming home this summer. I want to get my driver's license."

Mr. Calder replied, "You can learn to drive at home too, you know. Why not come back?"

Mrs. Calder nudged him with her foot, giving him a knowing look. He knew better than to push further, so Mrs. Calder asked, "Did Leo suggest a driving school?"

Anya quickly clarified, "No, Chad

asked if I'd rather study at home or stay here. Lots of my classmates signed up at the school, and I want to join them. Plus, it'll give me a

chance to hang out with Chad."

Mr. Calder wasn't thrilled. "Don't you miss Asher?"

Anya glanced down at her brother, feeling torn. "I do, but I can always visit."

Her parents exchanged glances, realizing she really wanted to stay.

Mr. Calder tried to speak up several times, but Mrs. Calder stopped him until later that night. "Why won't you let me talk?" he asked.

"She's grown now. What are you trying to say? How long do you plan to keep controlling her?"

Mr. Calder sulked, holding his son. "It's not right to not come home during the holidays."

Mrs. Calder teased, "You're such a daddy's girl kind of dad."

Just a couple of days after the full moon, the school began gearing up for thesis defenses.

During this time, the campus

bookstore started selling graduation

gowns. Walking through the

campus, you could see seniors. everywhere, dressed in their caps and gowns, capturing memories.

Molly strolled through campus, hit by a wave of nostalgia. "I finally get why going back to school felt so different after having a kid. Now that I'm a mom, I feel changed, but in some ways, I still feel like a kid myself."
