Celeste skimmed through the details and couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, your blind date is impressive. Is she the heiress to Ironclad Group? Isn't that the largest steel company in the country? They only supply to the military."

Rex, clearly irritated, snapped, "Stop with the nonsense and think of something already!"

"Don't rush me! Let me see. Oriel Steel, heiress to Ironclad Group, is rebellious, carefree, loves her freedom, respects her parents, and doesn't sweat the small stuff. Doesn't that sound like a match for you?"

Rex ground his teeth. "You think I won't call your dad and have you sent home right now?"noveldrama

Celeste was speechless.

She decided that once she got home, she'd print out Rex's photo and put it under her bed so she could step on it every day.

"I got it! Tomorrow, you'll do this."

Celeste laid out a detailed plan.

Rex, unusually patient, listened carefully, but he remained skeptical. "You really think this will work?"

Celeste was full of confidence. "Trust me, you won't regret it."

"Fine, I'll start preparing."

"Make sure to be detailed-make it realistic."

"I got it."

Finally, after sending Rex on his way, Celeste put down her phone and sighed in relief.

Erin had been quietly waiting by the side with her luggage. She'd been eavesdropping on their conversation and was deep in thought.

"Let's go. Our ride is waiting outside." Celeste grabbed her suitcase and headed for the door.

Erin hurried to catch up and asked sweetly, "Celeste, was that the rich friend you were talking to last time, the one you played games with?" "Yep, that's him.”

Celeste didn't notice Erin's expression. Just as they reached their ride, Celeste handed over her things and prepared to get in.

Erin's eyes shifted mischievously, and then she suddenly blurted. "Do you like him?"

Celeste almost stumbled and nearly fell as she was taken by surprise.

Luckily, she quickly regained her balance, barely managing to catch the car door to stop herself from face- planting.

Celeste looked at Erin like she'd just seen a ghost. "Are you out of your mind, or am I?"

Erin smacked her lips dismissively. "If you don't like him, then why did you talk to him for so long right after getting off the plane? You haven't even called your parents yet."

Celeste, irritated, knocked Erin lightly on the head. "He called me; that's why."

"Hey!" Erin pouted, rubbing her head. "Then why'd you give him such bad advice to mess up his blind date?"

"He asked for my help! I was just trying to save his date from falling into his ridiculous trap!"

Erin kept arguing back. Celeste, already on edge, was getting annoyed. Her impatience was clear on her face. "Why do you care so much about his problems? If you're so concerned, I can just buy you a ticket to go back right now."

As Celeste was really getting upset, Erin bit her tongue and held back the rest of her words.

After all, this trip to Ledo had originally been a reward from Dominic for Celeste's improvement in the final exams. Erin had managed to tag along.

Dominic, being extremely wealthy, gave Celeste a black card to spend as she pleased, whereas Erin's fathers only gave her 1,000 dollars. If she didn't keep Celeste happy, she'd be stuck at the hotel for the whole trip, unable to go anywhere.

Realizing this, Erin quickly changed her approach, trying to win Celeste back over. "I'm sorry. Don't be mad. I just care about you. We're so close; I'm just worried you might get hurt falling for someone like him."

Celeste rolled her eyes. "Falling for him? You'd be better off worrying about your own problems. Your grades were awful in the final exams. If I wasn't worried about your mom scolding you, I wouldn't have brought you along."

Erin's smile faltered, but she still tried to please Celeste. "Yes, yes, you care more about me than my real sister. I'll study hard next semester, I promise!"

Celeste wasn't bothered with her cousin, instead focusing on her phone to text her family.

Erin, turning away, pretended to admire the view outside the window.

In the reflection on the car window, her face was filled with jealousy, bitterness, and unspoken frustration.

The next evening.

Rex wore a casual outfit, topped with a Burberry coat. The stylish combination made him look even more handsome, his face radiating a bright, confident energy. His overall appearance was one of elegance and wealth.
