My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 586

The Douglas family had always dismissed him as a nobody, a poor man without influence.

Yet, as they were on the receiving end of his wrath, they finally started to fear him.

"I don't care who you are. The Douglas family has powerful connections! You don't know who you're messing with!" Franklin knew that acting intimidating would be pointless, so he decided to bring up his connections to intimidate Dustin.

"Oh? Do tell," Dustin said mildly.

“Hmph! Brandon Jameson, the commissioner overseeing all Southwestern regional affairs, is our patron!" Franklin declared loudly.

"You probably don't even know how powerful he is. Even if you've got some sway

in the Somerton Arbitration Court, you're nothing compared to him!"

The Douglas family's confidence surged at the mention of this commissioner.

"Dustin, you broke my leg and severed my mother's finger! This debt will be repaid in blood!" Keller roared from the floor.

Dustin suddenly burst into laughter.

"Commissioner? Impressive! What a shame that I don't know who he is..." He looked to his right and asked one of the men standing on his right.

"Governor of Grayvale, do you know him?"

Homer Freeman stepped forward and bowed to Dustin.

"Brandon? Of course. He's just a secretary in my office," Homer said cautiously.

"T-the Governor of Grayvale?"

Franklin stammered, and his face paled.

The Douglas family was stunned at the mention of the title.

"The Governor of Grayvale is here?" They did not believe it at all.

But soon, Homer turned around with an authoritative face as he stared down the Douglas family.

The trio visibly trembled.

It really was the Governor of Grayvale...noveldrama

He was the most powerful figure in the Southwest region. He was second only to Lord Barbenheim. He was the actual commander of the region!

He was very humble with Dustin at that!

The Douglas family trio acted as though they were struck by lightning and were rendered speechless.

The Governor of Grayvale was treating Dustin with such respect...

What did this even mean?

Could he be some exiled royal prince of Lovellia?

Any trace of confidence the Douglas family trio once had completely vanished. It left only sheer terror behind.

Their supposed "patron," who managed affairs for the Southwest region, was merely a secretary to Homer.

He could appear all-powerful when representing Homer. But if Homer disproved him, he was just a nobody.

"Your family really has guts," Homer said menacingly as his cold gaze locked onto the Douglas family.

Panic gripped the three people.

"W-Who... who is he really?" Franklin asked while trying to suppress his fear and disbelief.

"Him? Haha... He is..."

"Enough! There's no need to explain to people like them," Dustin interrupted impatiently.

"Is it... is it too late to beg for forgiveness now?" Franklin asked in a trembling voice.

Homer chuckled darkly.

"Do you know why I'm here? He has asked me to think about how to confiscate everything the Douglas family owns."

Thud!

Franklin's legs gave out, and he collapsed to the floor in a heap.

It was over!

"This is what you brought upon yourselves," Dustin said coldly.

It could have been a simple matter Dustin could have sent his people, and all the Douglas family needed to do was agree to call off the engagement.

Οι

But David had insisted on personally visiting them, only for the Douglas family to deliberately avoid him and leave him in the lurch. Meanwhile, Franklin and Ellen rushed to

Rivenesco and had hoped to finalize the matter.

Dustin had been lenient with Keller But Keller insisted on stirring trouble repeatedly and shamelessly rushed to humiliate himself time and again.

Everything that had happened was a consequence of their own actions.

Things had escalated to a point where Dustin could not let it slide.

As Dustin turned and walked out of the lobby, the Douglas family's faces turned pale as if their souls had been stripped away.
