Chapter 203
It's been a little over thirty minutes since I, or rather, we, left the dungeon. The moment those words left Brian's lips, everything in me froze, and I could not concentrate on questioning him further.
Raven, seeing my distress, followed me out, while Alec, Micah and Jason stayed behind. Alec had requested I wait in his office for him so we could discuss what to do with Brian.
I am still in his office waiting for him, while deep inside my insides are raging with a consuming panic and anxiety. Raven and I haven't spoken. Each of us lost in our thoughts but probably thinking of the same thing.
It can't all just be a coincidence. There is just no way I had a dream, probably a premonition of a woman with black wings killing me, and then it turns out that the person making hybrids has similar wings.
Just as I thought that, I remembered when Alec and I were attacked. Didn't that hybrid say something along the lines of 'She' is going to kill me? At least now I know the 'She' he was referring to.
That alone cements the idea that it wasn't just a dream, but a prediction. It's too much to be a coincidence, and I refuse to believe that it is.noveldrama
Unable to sit down any longer, I stand up and start pacing the room. My whole body is trembling as I think of all the things that could go wrong. The worst-case scenario is dying and if that happens, who is going to take care of Aspen? Should I leave her care to Raven and King or to her father, Alec?
I've never thought of dying. Never been faced with my own mortality, but after questioning Brian, it's right there in my face. Taunting me. I am forced to face the fact that I may not be there to see Aspen growing up.
The more I thought about it, the more melancholy I became.
I stop in my tracks when the door opens, revealing Alec, then Micah and finally Jason.
My eyes follow him as he walks past me and sits down on his chair with a tired sigh. I witnessed him with Aspen today. I saw the love in his eyes. If things don't go as planned, would it really be fair to leave Aspen with Raven instead of him?
"Do you mind telling me why you ran from the dungeon as if the fires of hell were after you?" his deep voice cuts through my thoughts and the panic that was surging inside me.
I shake my head to try and clear the depressing thoughts that were fighting for dominance inside.
"Something in what he said," I murmur, not really sure whether to reveal everything to him or not.
He raises an eyebrow, probably wondering what Brian could have said to get me running with my tail tucked between my legs.
"Care to elaborate?" he leans forward on his desk, his eyes expressing his interest.
We are in a staring contest as I think

it over and as he challenges me. Eventually, I decide to tell him, everything. After all, there really is no need to hide it. én
Du:
"I had what I think is a premonition,"I started slowly. "I know it sounds totally crazy, but after considering everything, I am more than sure that I wasn't just a dream."
Micah, who was leaning against a wall, pushes himself off it before he drops on
the couch right next to Raven.
"Honestly" he begins "I don't think it's as farfetched as you make it seem. We have seen crazier staff these past few weeks."
Jason, who was quiet, joins. "Yeah.
The existence of hybrids to start with, and I mean, you have wings for
goddesses' sake. That's the craziest shit ve seen in my entire life"
I only smile because he is right. Having wings is crazy.
Jason continues, making me question more of who I am. "You are a werewolf, but that's not the only thing you are. So, what exactly are you?"
I pause, because honestly, I have never thought about it. I am something more. I just don't know what the 'more' is.
What do you think?
