Chapter 793

The tree branch shook violently because of the whirring rotors, and Hera's body rocked along with it.

"Sweetie? Can you hear me?"

At that moment, she could hear Bernard's voice through her earpiece. He finally managed to rush over to her rescue!

From the cabin, he looked down to observe the situation, only to see her rocking violently along with the branch. His heart surged to his throat, worried that she would fall due to the violent shake.

At the same time, he noticed that something was odd about her-she hadn't moved one bit since they arrived.

He gripped the walkie-talkie tightly. "Sweetie? Hera! Can you hear me?"

There was no response from her.

Aaron and the men secured the ladder. "All good, Bernie. Should I go check on her?"

"I'll go." Bernard preempted him by yanking over the safety gears.

Quickly, he stepped on the ladder and approached her.

The sudden weight pulled the tree branch downward.

"Sweetie, are you alright?"

Her head snapped upward the moment he touched her.

Her red eyes looked dangerous yet unfocused. She was also wearing an eerie smile.

Alarmed, he knew this reaction all too well.

How could this be happening?

Felix had already erased those bad memories! Why was she still getting stress-induced reactions?

"Bernie, hurry! That branch can't put up with your weight at the same time!" Aaron shouted. Despite Hera's attempts to resist, Bernard forcefully scooped her up and rushed back. Swiftly, he grabbed the rocking ladder while carrying her.

As soon as they reached the cabin and before Aaron could withdraw the ladder, the branch snapped and fell into the pit.

Aaron drew in a sharp breath at their luck.

"Thank god, you made it in time." He sighed in relief and instructed the men to reel back the ladder.

The moment they closed the door, something banged loudly.

Someone abruptly pushed Bernard onto the wall, causing the helicopter to shake.

"Let's go back-"

Before Aaron could finish, he witnessed Bernard getting stabbed in the stomach.

Aaron quickly looked back, only to face a spinning kick from Hera. Unable to react in time, he took the hit and landed beside Bernard. The helicopter wobbled because of the impact again.

The two men, who had just reeled in the ladder, saw her attack their leader and wanted to hold her down.

"Don't touch her!" Bernard and Aaron shouted in unison.

Even Aaron could tell that something was wrong with Hera.

He had witnessed her in full combat mode due to stress-induced reactions before. Not even he and Bernard stood a chance against her. Rather than provoking her and getting hurt, it was best to let her be.

The men couldn't understand the order, but they followed anyway.

However, Hera showed no intention of stopping from there. She charged toward them and caught them off-guard.

Because of the orders, they didn't dare to hurt her and hence were subdued immediately. Their back hit the opposite window and seat, causing the helicopter to rock again.

The pilot felt the turbulence and turned his head to check on the situation in the cabin, only to be surprised.
