Frank smiled, shaking his head.

It was not as if he doubted Janice, but he simply preferred Myra's attitude and would not mind it even if Myra was representative of her family.

Frank waved him off. "Don't worry-I know you, and Ms. Zahn here had a hand in this herself. You wouldn't be here if she talked things out with your friend."

Ezel smiled, nodding.

That much was true-if Myra had not provoked the middle-aged woman's brother, he would not have to drag Ezel into this.

"Well, is she going to be a partner of Mystic Sky Guild now?" Ezel asked.

Frank nodded. "Allow me to introduce you to Myra Zahn. The younger lady is Janice, her niece."

"Ezel Lark, at your service." Ezel nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

The two ladies exchanged greetings with him, with Myra saying, "Since you're here anyway, just stay. I just happen to need company."

Jada promptly butted in. "Partners? That's an understatement-Chief Frankton is their spoiled child. He can do anything in Shagan, and even the rest of the country."
