Frank laughed icily at Lanky. "Do you think they're as despicable as you are?"

Then, turning to the rest of the mob, he said, "Everyone, you have nothing to worry about. I may be no angel, but I can see reason. I won't blame any of you, as long as you leave right now.

Laura was furious as she watched. "What do you think you're doing, Troy Layton? Are you really inciting a mob against Mr. Frankton?"

"Troy Layton?! Know your position-I'm your chief, and I can get upset too!" Troy retorted, not about to take this lying down.

Even if he had the hots for Laura, he knew by now that he had no chance and gave up on being a simp.

"My position you say?" Laura smiled. "Now that I mention it, I guess I should refresh your memory. Among the three vice-chiefs in our hospital, one of them is the son of a city hospital chief who's waiting to replace you.

"If he were made aware that you've been getting incentives from patients-even coercing them—I wonder if you'd keep your position."

Troy's face fell. "What's that supposed to mean? Are you threatening me?!"

Laura nodded. "Indeed I am! And I can tell you in no uncertain terms that if you try to hurt Mr. Frankton, I'll leak the news right away!"

Troy glanced between Frank and Laura just then, and sensing that Laura was not joking, he grumbled under his breath as he turned to leave.

Frank snorted and strode toward Lanky. "The apple really doesn't fall far from the tree, as they say! And here I wondered why your son was such horrible bully... but as it turns out, it's because his unruly father raised him that way!"

Lanky struggled to his feet, leaning against the wall as he shrieked, "What gives you the right to lecture me?!"

"This!" Frank laughed coolly and flexed his wrist before punching Lanky in the face, knocking him out cold.

"What, cat got your tongue?"

Frank then dropped to a crouch, grabbing hold of Lanky's thumb and squeezed.

The entire thumb broke, and Lanky was woken up from sheer agony!

"You're crazy!" he shrieked. "Kill me if you can, or I'll kill you believe it!"

Frank rolled his eyes. "When I think about it, you people are really monotonous with your threats, presuming that I'd be scared! Even the ladies with me aren't afraid, so why would I be? Also, I know where your son is!"

"W-What are you saying?!"

Lanky's face turned pale when he saw the coldness in Frank's eyes and realized what he would do.

Suddenly forgetting his pain, he snarled through his teeth, "If you hurt my son, I'll never forgive you!"

"Forgive this, forgive that." Frank snorted as he strode up to Lanky again. "Just look at your pathetic self. Did you think you'd win?
