Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1381

Mia looked at the manager, who was still in shock. "Let's do the contract. Full payment, right now. This is the one."

"Uh... Ma'am, don't you want to see some of the other options?"

Mia just shook her head. "If I look at another apartment, I'll have to chase after him for another ten minutes. I'm done for today. I've chased him around enough.”

Henry was pouting, his lips all scrunched up, looking like the world's tiniest victim. "Mom, I'm telling Dad you hit "noveldrama

"Your dad's spankings hurt a lot more than mine ever did."

Henry kept crying the whole way, but Mia tucked a little sugar-coated hawthorn stick into his chubby hand. His curiosity got the best of him-he gave it a tentative lick, and just like that, he forgot all about ratting out his mom.

Mia bought the four-hundred-square-meter flat without even blinking.

Back at the new place.

The apartment was decked out in marble-chandeliers sparkling across polished floors, comfy sofas, stylish tables and chairs, a giant TV, and the underfloor heating was humming. Even the carpets, beds, and a full kitchen had already been set up.

Molly stepped in, took a look around, and gawked. "Holy crap, this place is enormous! Mia, you've hit the jackpot!"

Once the three kids were settled, the adults split up to pick their rooms.

Henry started wriggling out of his car seat, his movements quick and nimble-his two little brothers just stared in awe.

Wayne was already his brother's biggest fan, and now, watching Henry's slick moves, he was starstruck.

As soon as Henry was out, Wayne reached his chubby hands out, cheeks flushed, silently begging for his brother to help him too.

Henry went over, and Wayne immediately latched onto his hand, grinning like he'd won the lottery.

Jared, their little guest, wasn'tnet

familiar with Henry yet, so he just sat quietly in his stroller, calm as could be.

Wayne was the type to put on a show for his brother's attention. Henry leaned over Wayne's stroller, fiddled with the buckle,

ove

and-click-the safety strap popped open. Wayne was free.

Wayne immediately started trying to get himself out of the stroller, kicking his legs and wiggling around.

Jared watched and then stretched out his hands as if he wanted Henry to rescue him, too.

Henry hurried over and, with a quick press, popped open Jared's buckle as well.

Wayne had both legs out and was halfway free, but got himself stuck, unable to wriggle all the way out. "Waaaah-!"

Molly, in the middle of checking out

rooms, heard the cry. She paused,

waited a couple of seconds, then shrugged. “Eh, my kid's just throwing a fit. Let's keep looking. If he really needed me, he'd be screaming his head off."

A moment later, Aimee's son let out his own little yelp. Aimee glanced at Molly, listened, then waved it off. “Probably nothing. If my son genuinely needed me, trust me, we'd know."

Mia stood there, eyebrows raised. "That's odd. Why isn't my kid making any noise?"

"Maybe Henry's just getting older?" Molly guessed.

Mia shook her head. "Nope, you guys don't get it. In my house, silence always means trouble."

With that, Mia strode out. She'd barely reached the door before shouting, "Henry! What are you doing? Why are your brothers crawling around on the floor?"

Henry stood there, licking his lips, still clutching a couch cushion. Wayne had already crawled across the floor to join him.

Molly and Aimee came out to see the little ones sprawled on the rug. "How'd they even get out of their strollers?"
