Chapter 1119
Leo quickly handed a tissue to his aunt, trying to lighten the mood with a grin, "Come on, what are you two doing? It's just graduation, not the end of the world! We're family, Molly. Unless we're reincarnated into strangers, nothing's changing. And Mia, you're part of the Cedillo family now; we're all in this together. Seriously, snap out of it, my lovely aunts!"
There's that saying about new moms being a bit scatterbrained for three years, right? Well, these two hadn't quite hit that three-year mark.
The emotional vibe had them convinced that graduation meant they'd never see each other again.
"Hey, family, we're bound by more than just today. We're in this for life!" Leo declared, hoping to break through their teary haze.
Mia, wiping her tears with her sleeve, looked at her sister, "Molly, he's got a point."
Molly, sniffling, nodded in agreement, "Yeah, he does."
"But it still feels so sad."
"Yeah, same here."
Graduation day had everyone a little misty-eyed.
For some, this goodbye might really be the last.
As they stepped out of the school gates, paths diverged, setting everyone on their own journey.
Leo walked out with his tear-streaked aunts, while their husbands stood at the door, puzzled by the emotional scene.
Little Henry, with his chubby cheeks, was bewildered what could possibly make his fierce mom cry?
Did Dad give Mom a spanking or something?
Henry looked up, shading his eyes from the sun to see his dad, who'd just playfully swatted his own little behind.
Wayne, with his chubby face, watched his overdramatic mom and yawned. Time to call it a day and hit the hay.
Even from the womb, he knew his mom was a bit of a drama queen.
During graduation, the afternoon was dedicated to photos, with trusty Henry and newcomer Wayne enlisted by their moms for a school photo spree. Henry, fascinated by his tassel, kept trying to grab it.
Mia, after finally adjusting her cap, playfully warned him, "You little rascal, I'll get you for that!"
Amidst the sprawling campus, Mr. Leo bawled without a care, having been scolded by his mom for being too cheeky.
Wayne watched his brother's
outburst, a bit perplexed, as Jade seized the moment to teach, "See that's what happens when you misbehave. You're new here, and there are lots of rules, but don't worry, I'll guide you."
Their son handed over to his dad, Andre, who promptly passed him to
a niece who adored playing with
dolls. Andre then meticulously
adjusted his wife's cap, using
black hairpin with the precision of a craftsman.
Anya, cuddling Henry, stole a quick kiss on his cheek and glanced over at her boyfriend.
Leo, though smiling, suddenly gave Anya a chill.
After his little scolding, Henry was much more cooperative during the photo session, sweetly posing with his mom, giving her kisses, and hugging her neck.
Even Andre was tempted to join in the fun.
Finally, as they stood by the school's entrance, Leo wrapped an arm around each young mom and snapped a group photo, symbolizing the end of their incredible journey together.
Later, Mia and Molly each cradled a child, posing again with Leo. This time, miraculously, one child wasn't fussy, and the other wasn't asleep. Both looked at their dads' cameras, beaming for a perfect family photo. noveldrama
