Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1112

Henry was out playing in the puddle again.

When Andre got home from work, he found his little boy, Henry, in the yard, wearing his overalls and joyfully stomping through a puddle. With each stomp, water splashed up, making Henry crinkle his nose with glee as he soaked his shoes and pants.

Andre, seeing his son's antics, grabbed him by the straps of his overalls and hoisted him back into the living room. "Hey Dad, where's Mia?"

"Mia's over at the Byrnes'. Wayne's christening is the day after tomorrow, and both Mia and your Aunt Naomi are helping out over there."

Since Henry was always getting into everything, he and his grandpa stayed home.

It didn't take long before Henry slipped outside again to play in the puddle.

Andre went out and brought his muddy little boy back inside. "Is it just gonna be a lunch, or are they throwing a big party?"

"The Byrnes like to keep things low-key, so it'll probably just be a lunch, no big party."

In the blink of an eye, Henry was off again.

Andre had to fetch him from the bushes, where Henry was happily smearing mud all over his belly. Andre picked him up by the armpits, barely hiding his

exasperation, and took him to the bathroom. "Wait till I'm done here, then we can chat."

Soon enough, Andre's firm voice echoed from the bathroom, "Henry, if you splash that water one more time, you're getting a timeout."

Seconds later, Henry's cries filled the air.

Meanwhile, Grandpa Hansen relaxed in his chair, humming a little tune with his eyes closed.

That evening, Mia and Naomi returned home and shared the christening plans. "Henry, why are you in different clothes again?"

Before bed, Henry ended up over his mom's knee, receiving a gentle reminder to behave.

The morning of Wayne's christening, the whole Cedillo family set out early for the Byrnes'.

Leo and Anya showed up not long after them.

After breakfast at the Byrnes', as guests started to arrive and Molly finished her makeup, it was time to head to the event.

Henry, being the smallest, was the only one who could stand up and roam around in the car.

Chad, Kendrick, and Andre went ahead, with the elders and ladies following later.

At the banquet hall, Henry, with his brave little heart, looked up at the forest of legs surrounding him. He cautiously held up his tiny arm, insisting on holding his mom's hand to avoid getting lost.

Mia held her son's hand as they entered the venue, where many greeted her,

"Mrs. Cedillo, nice to see you again."

Mia nodded and greeted them back, one by one.noveldrama

A few steps in, Henry spotted his dad at the reception and, with excitement, dashed over on his little legs, shouting, "Daddy!"

Recognizing the familiar call, Andre squatted down, letting his son leap into his

arms.

Sure enough, Henry crashed into his father's embrace. Andre balanced him on one arm while chatting with acquaintances.

Handling the guests meant Andre couldn't just focus on a few, so he greeted everyone with one arm holding his son and shaking hands with the other.

Seeing this, Henry stretched out his little hand too.

Not sure what he meant, Andre gently pushed Henry's hand down, but the boy reached out again,

clutching his dad's hand, "Daddy!"

Andre went to find Mia among the ladies, "Mia, why don't you take him to the nursing room for a bit?"

When it was time to hand off Henry, the little guy wasn't happy, clinging to his dad's neck and reaching out with his tiny hand.

"Does your hand hurt? Want Dad to kiss it better?" Andre held Henry's little hand

and blew on it softly, "There, all better now."

Henry was exasperated-why did grown-ups have to be so silly?
