Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1101

"Annie, our little one..." Louisa watched her daughter's silhouette fade away, turning anxiously to her husband. "What should we do?"

Gabby, frustrated, took a drag from his cigarette. "Where on earth is our eldest?"

"I have no idea. May's keeping tight-lipped. She only says she'll make Conner pay and wants to keep Annie away from him." Louisa was at a loss. "What if they end up enemies over some guy?"

Annie sat in her room, a photo of her and her sister on the table. May was stunning, an art student with a dancer's grace. She had the elegance of a swan— poised, dignified, and always in the spotlight.

When Emmery was around, she ruled Newtown with an iron fist. The Martins owed their rise to May, as she was the reason the Nettletons took the struggling Martins under their wing.

Their parents always wanted Annie to be like her sister-a refined young lady- but she was always a bit of a wild child. May would say, "Mom, Dad, let Annie be. As long as she's happy, that's all that matters. I've got the Martins covered. I just want my sister to be happy."

Annie was closest to her sister because May always had her back.

"Sis, I don't want you seeing Emmery," Annie said. "I saw him fighting in the street, almost beating someone to death. We couldn't even walk by."

May confronted Emmery immediately. "Why are you fighting again?"

A few words later, May, furious, snapped, "You scared my sister! Can't I ask why?" The next day, Emmery came to apologize in person.

...

Annie put down the picture, her hands covering her face as tears silently fell. "Sis, where are you?"

Conner got a call that afternoon. "What? Annie's been looking for me? For three days?"

He hung up and turned to Asher. "I gotta go."

Asher raised an eyebrow. "Your base gets bombed, and you're running off this fast?"

"This is bigger than the base," Conner smirked. "Annie's looking for me."

Conner booked a flight home immediately, heading straight to the Martins once he landed.

"Miss, someone from the Nettleton family is here to see you," a servant knocked on Annie's door.

Annie, about to call it a night, got up, changed, and headed out. Seeing the familiar car, she knew who was inside. The chauffeur opened the door, and as soon as she sat down, Conner pulled her in for a kiss.

"Mmm..."

The kiss was intense, the car cramped. Annie couldn't move her legs, and Conner

held her so tight she could barely move her arms.

When the kiss finally ended, Annie shot him a glare. "Conner, have you lost your mind?"

"How about dying in your bed?" Conner teased shamelessly.

Annie fumed. How could someone like him end up as the thirteenth head of the Nettletons? He had fed a rebellion, forcing the entire Nettleton family to kneel and beg, ruling with antron fist.

"You're absolutely shameless."

"With you, I'd give up everything, even my pride."

Annie felt like she might gag, sitting next to him. She smoothed her hair. "Have you been smoking?" She could still taste the smoke on his breath.

Conner shrugged. "Didn't even go home, came straight to see you. Didn't have

time to brush my teeth."

"Where have you been?"

"If I tell you, will you come after me?"

Annie smiled slyly. "Oh, I might."

Conner, looking guilty, said, "I'd betray my brother for you. I was with Asher. Neednoveldrama

me to spill his location? I'll tell you everything."
