Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 958

Chapter 958:

“Are you sure you know how to do it?” Bryan asked.

“If I don’t, I can pick it up pretty quickly. How about you lead the horse around for a bit so that I can get used to it, and I’ll try riding on my own?” Eileen suggested tentatively.

There were people all around them, and before she had fully processed it, Bryan had already climbed onto the horse behind her.

She noticed that most of the people around them were riding solo, and it left her feeling a little out of place.

“When have you ever seen someone riding a horse all by themselves?” Bryan asked.

Eileen paused as another solo rider galloped past them on a horse.

“If he had a partner with him, do you think he’d be riding alone? No way,” Bryan said firmly.

Suddenly, he felt a pinch at his waist—it was Eileen pinching him. However, the belt of his riding outfit made it hard for her to get a firm hold.

Bryan chuckled and said, “Save the pinching for later when we’re in bed. For now, just enjoy the ride.”noveldrama

Eileen immediately let go of him.

The ride around the field didn’t take long—about ten minutes or so. The saddle was hard, and by the end of the ride, Eileen’s hips and thighs were feeling sore. Bryan helped her off the horse, and she hobbled over, noticing Gabriela with a lollipop in her mouth, her eyes still glistening with tears.

“What happened?” Eileen asked, momentarily forgetting her discomfort as she quickened her pace to reach her daughter.

As soon as Gabriela saw Eileen, her tears started flowing again, though she seemed too overwhelmed to put her feelings into words. Before Bryan could reach them, Raymond quickly explained to Eileen, “She noticed Mr. Dawson riding the same horse as you. She began to pout, and when he started fixing your hair, she got teary-eyed.”

Raymond added a bit of flair to the story, making it quite obvious that when Bryan spent time with Eileen, Gabriela would start to feel upset.

“Sweetheart, don’t cry. Daddy’s getting the stable to switch to a gentler horse just so that he can take you for a ride,” Eileen comforted Gabriela before turning to Raymond.

“You know, you should pick out a horse and go for a ride too. You’re already here, after all.”

Raymond quickly responded, “Absolutely! I’ll join Mr. Dawson. That way, I can help keep an eye on Gabriela while we ride.”

With that said, he headed off to select a horse for himself.

Raymond’s little bit of stirring the pot actually worked. When Bryan returned with a gentler horse, he spent quite a while soothing Gabriela until she finally calmed down and agreed to get on the horse with him.

Eileen watched them as they rode together. Bryan kept Gabriela safely tucked under his arm, protecting her small frame, and Eileen couldn’t help but smile.

Just then, someone appeared next to Eileen and said, “Hello.”

“Hello.” Eileen turned to look at the woman sitting next to her.
