Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 907

Chapter 907:

“Allison, look out!” he shouted.

Clang! The two blades met in mid-air, the dagger deflecting the other.

Kellan wasted no time. He rushed in and landed a solid punch on Verruckt.

Verruckt, caught off guard, couldn’t dodge in time and took the full force of the hit. But instead of stumbling, he seemed to grow even more menacing, his presence radiating a cold, dangerous intensity.

“So what if you hit me?” Verruckt sneered, his voice icy. “It does half as much damage to me as it would to an ordinary man.”

He wasn’t boasting. One punch was indeed nothing to faze Verruckt.

He glanced at Kellan with a mocking look. “You want to know why?”noveldrama

“I don’t care,” Kellan shot back. “I care about one thing — watching you die.”

With that, he charged at Verruckt once more.

Verruckt grinned, fists clenched, ready for the next clash. Their fierce battle continued.

As they fought, Verruckt pressed his hand to the wound in his chest, muttering to himself, “Because, like those test subjects you captured, I’m a monster.”

He turned to Allison, his cruel smile growing wider. “You probably don’t know this, do you? Allison used to be just like me — another monster. We both went through those injections, the experiments, forced to become weapons. She and I are the same. And you? You’re nothing more than her pawn.”

Verruckt let out a low chuckle, and no one could tell what he was really thinking.

Had anyone been watching closely, they would have seen him intentionally tearing open the wound on his arm, making the blood spill faster.

It was like only the sharp pain could calm the chaos and madness deep inside him.

“I don’t care,” Kellan muttered, wiping the blood from his lips.

His dark eyes, lit by the fire, seemed more intense and determined than ever.

“Even if Allison tries to use me, fine. I don’t mind. She’s not a monster. She’s the woman I love.”

Kellan’s past had been filled with shadows, his moods shifting like the tide. But meeting Allison had been like sunlight breaking through a storm — something rare and beautiful in an otherwise empty life.

So what if she had been a test subject? Kellan didn’t care one bit.

“The woman you love?” Verruckt sneered, his coldness intensifying.

He chuckled, the sound harsh and full of mockery. “Let’s see if you’ll die for her, then.”

In a split second, Verruckt moved with blinding speed, predicting Kellan’s every move. In the blink of an eye, Verruckt was behind him, wrapping an arm tightly around his neck.

With just a little more pressure, Verruckt could snap Kellan’s neck.
