Chapter 1090
Chapter 1090:
The designers around her nodded in agreement. This had been their first lesson in becoming skilled designers, and clearly, it had been Allison’s first lesson as well.
Melany, sensing something was off, quickly turned to Abram.
Not wanting to leave a negative impression on Fabian, she pressed, “What’s really going on here?”
Abram was silent, his cold sweat now visible as he struggled to find a way out of the situation.
“Then, I have no choice but to reveal the truth,” Abram said, his voice trembling with a growing sense of panic.
He knew deep down that his understanding of the designs could never compare to Allison’s, the true artist behind them.
“The reason Ms. Clarke knows these shoes so well,” he said, his voice carefully controlled, “is because she used to work as one of our studio’s designers.”
Abram’s thoughts raced. The answer came quickly — there was no one left from that time who would stand up for Allison. The studio was now his, and no employee would dare go against him.
When he finished speaking, the room buzzed with surprise.
“No wonder Ms. Clarke’s designs are so remarkable — she was one of SAMSARA’s designers!” someone exclaimed.
“But I don’t recall hearing her name before,” another person added.
“She must have been an early member of the team. I heard SAMSARA had some internal conflicts back then, and many people left.”
SAMSARA was a renowned studio in Leswington, with designers highly coveted by top companies. It was astonishing to think that someone as young as Allison had once been part of such an elite team.
Abram’s next words hit even harder. He raised his voice, pointing at Allison. “But these designs aren’t hers! I admit we took some inspiration, but it came from an older designer we worked with at the studio. Later, Ms. Clarke was dismissed for plagiarizing others’ work.”
The statement landed heavily, and the tension in the room was palpable. Abram paused deliberately, watching the room react with growing disbelief.
“That’s right!” he declared. “Ms. Clarke is nothing but a plagiarist!”
With SAMSARA’s reputation behind him, his words carried weight. And since there was no evidence left from that time, his claims would be hard to disprove. As a prominent figure, his words held considerable sway over public opinion.
“She built her reputation by stealing others’ hard work,” Abram continued confidently, “and was expelled for it.”
He turned to Allison, his expression challenging. “Go ahead, deny it. I can call witnesses from the studio right now—people who will confirm what I’ve said.”
The implied threat was clear. Allison knew that the employees Abram referred to would side with him. Protecting SAMSARA’s reputation would take precedence over defending her.noveldrama
Melany, feigning concern, spoke up with a seemingly innocent tone. “Allison, I can’t believe this. You must have been framed, right?”
