Chapter 1719
Priscilla's actions lately had seemed irrational. The situation had already occurred, and her choices leading up to it were not the wisest.
In truth, she had already known the answer before coming here. Even if Skylar had been understanding and agreed to help her, Joe wouldn't have changed his mind.
There was no point in seeking Skylar's help or calling Paul. It seemed like lately, she had been making one wrong move after another.
The situation now called for damage control. Accepting the highest possible compensation was no longer the worst outcome.
Taking a deep breath, Priscilla stepped out of the lounge, feeling conflicted. She turned back toward Skylar and said, "Sorry. I hope you don't mind. I was a bit irrational today."
"It's fine." Skylar nodded.
Priscilla quickly looked away and left in a hurry.noveldrama
Once Priscilla was gone, Caleb approached Skylar and asked, "Did she come to cause trouble for you?"
"It's nothing. She won't be bothering me again. Why are you still here?" Skylar asked.
Caleb blinked, glancing toward Alexander's office. "Grandpa asked me to wait for him. He said his friend is coming to Jispburg tonight. They'll arrive at the airport at 8:00 pm. His friend is bringing his granddaughter with him. Grandpa wants me to go meet them and, well, set up a blind date."
He was really at his wit's end. At just over 20, his family was already pushing him into blind dates.
Skylar couldn't help but laugh. "Your grandfather is just looking out for you."
"He just wants great-grandchildren." Caleb could easily see through Alexander's intentions.
Alexander had even told him as much. "When you get to a certain age, you just want to see more new life."
"Good luck with that. I'm rooting for you." Skylar smiled.
Caleb's lips twitched. "I can't even imagine the day I become a father."
"I think you'd make a great dad. Every time Vivian comes over, you always manage to make her so happy," Skylar said with a smile.
"That's because Vivian is smart and cute, unlike some of the mischievous kids I've seen. Honestly, I feel like I'd want to smack each one of them." Caleb laughed.
The two chatted and laughed for a while.
Afterward, Skylar checked the time and decided to clock out. Feeling a bit bored, Caleb wandered over to Alexander's office.
"Grandpa, just so you know, if the woman is too annoying or doesn't meet my standards, I'll drop you two off at the hotel and come up with some excuse to leave," Caleb said.
It was always better to speak plainly from the start than to regret it later.
"Don't think too highly of yourself. Do you really think she would be interested in you? You haven't even met her yet, and you're already so high and mighty. You think you're that impressive?" Alexander scolded immediately.
A few days later, Skylar and Vivian were shopping for clothes at a mall. Today, many new arrivals from the brands that Vivian usually liked were in stock.
As children grew, they often developed their own preferences and started picking their own clothes. Skylar had respected Vivian's choices.

After picking out the clothes, they headed to an ice cream shop. After getting their treats, Vivian suddenly pointed toward a distant corner "Mom that person looks like Ms. Wilcher. Someone's bullyingcher! Let's go and see."
What do you think?
