Chapter 590
Dustin said nothing.
Whether the box's contents held material value or not, the main Langley family would undoubtedly treat it as a prized relic. It was unlikely they would give it up easily.
Some unconventional methods might be necessary.
After packing up, the family boarded a flight to Hattan at dawn.
It was almost noon by the time they landed.
"I've already contacted the main family. They said they'd send someone to pick us up," David said.
The group waited for quite some time outside the airport with their luggage but saw no sign of anyone.
An hour passed, then another.
"Where's the person picking us up? Why aren't they here yet?" Monique
complained impatiently.
David tried calling again but the line never connected.
"Maybe they're delayed on their way here," he said helplessly.noveldrama
Dustin's expression remained indifferent.
Was this their way of making a statement right from the start?
"David, why don't we go to my friend's place? I have some connections here," Dustin suggested.
Before David could respond, a young man with bleached blond hair approached them.
"You're David Langley's family?" the blond man asked indifferently.
"I am David Langley," David said.
"I'm Archer Langley, here to pick you up," the blond man said dismissively. He barely spared them a glance.
Dustin's face darkened.
Archer was clearly a youngster of the Langley family.
Yet, he showed no respect to David.
Moreover, sending a young person to greet someone of David's generation was a clear message.
"Thank you for coming," David said politely and showed no sign of anger.
"Follow me," Archer said curtly before turning on his heel. The family hurriedly grabbed their luggage and followed.
Archer's car was a Porsche.
"Be careful with my car. It's brand new, so don't scratch or dirty it," he said disdainfully.
Dustin's face darkened further, but Simone gently squeezed his hand as a signal for him to hold back.
"If you cause a scene, it'll put Dad in a tough spot," she whispered.
Dustin frowned but kept his temper in check.
Once they were in the car, Archer began driving toward the outskirts of the airport.
"I heard the main family is doing very well these days and has become a
prominent family in Hattan?" David asked.
"Hmph! We've long been one of
Hattan's most prestigious families. And soon, we'll be even stronger. We'll be reaching the very top tier of elite families," Archer said smugly.
"Of course at times like this, we
must be extra vigilant to prevent any from disrupting our

progress,"
David's face darkened, but he stayed silent.
Archer continued making degrading remarks throughout the ride and showed no regard for David as a senior member of the family.
His words were filled with thinly veiled sarcasm, which left David visibly agitated and Dustin simmering with anger.
Were it not for Simone holding his hand, Dustin might have taught Archer a lesson then and there.
"We're here."
Archer parked the car and told the group to get down.
They arrived at a run-down motel with a sign that read: Rooms - $10.
Anyone who had stayed in such a place before knew how filthy and dilapidated
these motels could be.
"The main family is hosting
important guests today, so it's inconvenient for you to visit. You'll have to stay here for the night and head over tomorrow. We wouldn't want you to disrupt their visit Archer said condescendingly.
