Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 1032: The True Secret of the Swanson Family

The weather turned cold abruptly over the next few days.

Because of her pregnancy, Tina became increasingly sleepy, spending most of her time either eating or lying in bed. Jared, unwilling to leave her alone, stayed by her side constantly.

That afternoon, Tina was sound asleep in bed when her phone suddenly vibrated.

Jared glanced at the screen, saw the name, and walked out of the room to answer the call.

"Master Jared!" came Jayden's voice from the other end.noveldrama

"It's me," Jared replied in a low voice. "Tina is asleep. Tell me what's going on."

Jayden hesitated briefly before quickly continuing, "Orion Woodwind has made another move. These symbols he's using can only be understood by the master. We suspect he's trying to send a message to the outside world."

Jared frowned. "Did the surrounding surveillance catch anything?"

"Not a single trace," Jayden replied firmly.

Jared's expression darkened. "Keep a close eye on him and report anything suspicious immediately. I'll update Tina about this."

When Tina woke up, she turned her head and saw Jared sitting beside her. Her heart softened at the sight.

"Uncle, what time is it?" she asked.

Jared looked at her, closing the laptop in his hands. "You're awake. It's seven in the evening."

Tina rubbed her temples. "Why am I sleeping more and more these days?"

Jared took her hand and gently massaged her temple. "Are you hungry? I'll make something you like."

Tina glanced at the darkening sky outside and nodded. Before falling asleep, she'd been dealing with nausea, but now her stomach was empty.

As Jared got up to leave, he handed her the phone. "Jayden called earlier. There's movement on Orion Woodwind's side. He sent the details to your phone. Take a look while I cook."

After Jared left, Tina sat up and opened her phone.

The message from Jayden had been sent two hours ago. It contained a surveillance

video.

She played the video. The content was similar to the last time, but this time, a few strange gestures appeared at the end-gestures she had never seen before.

From what she could tell, these symbols didn't seem to have anything to do with Claudia.

Instead, they resembled a form of worship toward Orion Woodwind's so-called "faith." Jared returned with a tray of food and saw Tina frowning at her phone. "Have you found anything?" he asked.

Tina shook her head. "Some of the gestures seem encrypted. I can't decipher them."

Jared, as if reading her thoughts, set down a bowl of porridge and said, "I'll have Nathan return tomorrow to stay by your side. His current task is almost finished."

Tina took a sip of the porridge and asked, "What about Hayden?"

Jared sighed. "Damon dragged him off to deliver gifts to the White family. He'll probably be tied up for a day or two."

Tina remembered the farce on Hayden's engagement day, orchestrated by their master. She said nothing but felt a pang of sympathy for Hayden.

If Hayden ever found out that all these so-called auspicious gestures were just idle suggestions from their master, his reaction would undoubtedly be something to behold.

But Tina kept her thoughts to herself. Saying anything would only tarnish Serenity Ridge's reputation. Their master's face could be lost, but not Serenity Ridge's.

Instead, she suggested to Jared that Courtney could stay with her instead of Nathan. Jared thought for a moment and nodded. "That would work. Courtney would be more attentive, given she's also a woman."

The next morning, before Jared and Tina even had a chance to step out, Courtney was already waiting at the door.

When Tina came out, Courtney quickly approached and stood at attention. "Tina, I'm here."

Tina nodded slightly. "Are you feeling better now?"

"Yes, I'm fine," Courtney replied as she opened the car door for Tina.

As Tina got into the car, she asked, "How's Aunt Thaliana? Now that you've

reconnected, has she made any plans? Does she want to return to the X Bureau?"

Courtney shook her head decisively. "She has no attachment to the X Bureau anymore and won't go back. But since her identity is officially listed as deceased by the X Bureau, we'll need to handle that once she's feeling stronger."

Tina understood Courtney's reasoning. The X Bureau wasn't what it used to be, and time had changed people and circumstances alike.

"Let me know if you need anything. Aunt Thaliana isn't just anyone," Tina said warmly.

Courtney smiled gratefully through the rearview mirror. "Thank you, Tina."

The car left the villa and headed toward the suburbs.

Halfway there, Tina received a call from Jared.

"Tina, the Havenhart family just called. They found the Swanson family's old blueprints. I'm heading there now. Let's meet in half an hour."

Tina raised her eyebrows in surprise.

Why would the Havenhart family suddenly uncover the Swanson family's blueprints now?

She closed the call and instructed Courtney, "Turn around. We're heading to the Swanson family estate."

Courtney immediately complied, smoothly turning the car around and heading in the opposite direction.

Half an hour later, two cars arrived almost simultaneously at the gates of the Swanson family estate.

Cole Lyon, stationed there, stepped forward to greet them. "Serena."

Tina nodded and glanced to the side as Jared approached.

"Uncle, where's the blueprint?" she asked, noticing his empty hands.

Jared gestured toward his car.

A loud voice rang out from beside the car. "I've got it, Serena!"

Hayden stepped out from the driver's seat, holding a rolled-up blueprint.

Tina's brow twitched as she saw him. "Why are you here? Weren't you busy delivering gifts to your father-in-law?"

Hayden grinned smugly. "Jared saved me with just one sentence. Pulled me right out of the fire."

Tina glanced at Jared, who looked completely uninterested in engaging with Hayden. "He begged me," Jared said flatly.

"You're bold to dodge your father-in-law's family like that. Aren't you worried Paula will come after you later?" Courtney chimed in from behind.

Hayden finally noticed Courtney approaching and greeted her with mock surprise. "Well, look who it is! The busybee who didn't even have time to attend her friend's engagement party!"

Courtney remained silent. She had indeed missed Hayden's engagement, as she'd been focused on uncovering clues about her mother. Later, she'd ended up hospitalized and completely forgot about it.

Hayden, however, was "magnanimous" in his understanding. "It's fine if you didn't show up. Just remember to send me the gift money later."

Courtney, exasperated, said nothing.

Tina, uninterested in their banter, took the blueprint from Hayden and signaled Cole Lyon to open the estate's gates.

Along with Jared, she stepped inside.

In the main hall, Tina spread out the blueprint on the table. Her eyes widened slightly

as she noticed the red markings already drawn on it.

"These marks are recent," she observed.

Jared explained, "They were added by Mr. Havenhart. Based on his years of experience,

he marked areas he thought were suspicious to help guide our investigation."
