Chapter 797 On-set Couples
Cindy had just finished doing makeup for a special guest at the request of director Valentin Dobbins. She returned to the set, exhausted and parched, having had no time to even take a sip of water.
She picked up her water bottle, but it was dusty. Frowning, she decided to head to the break room to wash it. Just as she was about to leave, she heard someone coming in from outside.
From the sound, it was Patrick and the lead actress Hestia. She retracted her foot that was about to step out.
"Where's your personal makeup artist?" Hestia's voice was sweet and highly recognizable, even when speaking normally, it sounded like she was being coquettish.
It was said that many male stars liked her. She was known as a baby-faced mature woman. Despite her sweet appearance, her figure was very sexy.
Patrick's gaze swept around the makeup room. He pulled out a chair and sat down, speaking indifferently, "Are you looking for her?"
"Of course not, I'm here for you." Hestia walked over, leaning against the makeup table, her hands propped on the edge, looking at Patrick with a teasing gaze.
Patrick grabbed a bottle of water, tilted his head back, and drank more than half of it, his prominent Adam's apple moving up and down.
"What do you want with me?"
Hestia looked infatuated. She leaned closer to Patrick and smiled, "Patrick, you're playing dumb. You're so annoying."
Patrick toyed with the water bottle, raising an eyebrow at Hestia, "I really don't understand. Do you want more screen time? Then you should go to Director Dobbins. There's nothing I can do."
Hestia pouted, "Patrick, you're the male lead, I'm just your foil. I don't want extra screen time."
A hint of impatience appeared on Patrick's handsome face, "If there's nothing else, I won't keep you any longer."
Hestia had long heard that Patrick was cold and indifferent, never messing around with relationships. She liked Patrick's face and wanted to know what kind of passionate heart lay beneath that cold exterior.
"Don't be in such a hurry. I just joined the crew not long ago and can't cooperate well with you in acting. I always cause you trouble. Valentin said we should get along well in private." Hestia lifted her toes, lightly touching Patrick's ankle, the implication very clear.
Patrick didn't move. He had seen these tricks when he first entered the entertainment industry. Some actresses would stop at nothing to become famous.
It had been years since he had seen a woman daring to flirt with him. It was quite amusing.
"So, tell me, how do you want to get along?"
Hestia's eyes sparkled. She sat on Patrick's lap, one hand around his neck, the other playing with the buttons on his costume.
"The closer, the better."
Patrick squinted his eyes, just about to push her off when a sudden noise came from behind. His gaze swept over the makeup case on the table, and he had an idea.
He maintained his original posture, "How close do you want to be?"
It was Hestia's first time doing something like this. She liked Patrick's face so much that she naturally wanted to see his expression when he was lost in passion for her. She threw him a seductive look, "Patrick, you're pretending to be innocent."
Hestia's actions made Cindy, who was hiding in the break room, feel disgusted. So Hestia was this vulgar. She had even praised Hestia to Ulysses before, saying she looked like an angel.
Hestia's hand moved from Patrick's buttons to his cheek, smiling seductively, "Have you heard of on-set couples?"
Patrick's eyebrows moved slightly.noveldrama
Hestia continued, "While on set, they satisfy each other's sexual needs. After filming, they don't entangle with each other. What do you think?"
Cindy never expected that her eavesdropping would reveal the most secretive matters of the crew. She thought on-set couples were a joke, but it turned out to be real.

Would Patrick agree?
She perked up her ears to hear Patrick's answer but accidentally knocked over the water cup, the sound suddenly ringing out.
She was startled and quickly covered the cup.
"Who's in there?" Hestia's scolding voice came from outside. She didn't expect anyone else to be in the room. If someone had heard her conversation with Patrick and recorded it, her pure image would have been ruined.
Patrick saw her standing there, her face pale with fright. He said indifferently, "You should leave. I'll pretend nothing happened today."
"But..." Hestia looked at him with a pale face.
Patrick stood up, his voice cold, "I said nothing happened today. Leave!"
Hestia bit her lip unwillingly and quickly walked out of the makeup room. The more she thought about it, the more annoyed she became. How could she not have been more careful?
If she left any evidence with Patrick, her future days would be like walking on thin ice. Damn it!
No, she had to have someone keep an eye on this place. She wanted to see who was hiding in the makeup room that Patrick was protecting.
The door closed, and Patrick's sharp gaze swept towards the direction of the break room. He said indifferently, "She's gone. Stop hiding and come out."
Cindy bit her lower lip. Caught red-handed eavesdropping, she was really unlucky. "Do I need to come over and get you?" Patrick's voice came again, already tinged with impatience. Cindy knew she couldn't avoid it. She stepped out from the shadows.

"Coming out, it's not like I wanted to eavesdrop." Cindy forced a defiant look, "Patrick, you never lack women wherever you go. Why didn't you agree to her?" Patrick squinted at her, "Jealous?"
"Me, jealous?" Cindy looked incredulous, "Why would I? We have nothing to do with each other. Even if all the women in the crew liked you, what does it have to do with me?"
Patrick's handsome face slowly turned serious. He got up and walked towards Cindy. "What are you doing?" Cindy was scared by the menacing aura he exuded and backed away, "I'm telling you, I'm not afraid of you."
Patrick said nothing, pressing forward step by step.
Cindy backed up until her back hit the wall behind her. She had nowhere to retreat and tried to stay calm, "I won't tell anyone about today. You don't need to scare me with that look."
She had signed a confidentiality agreement. Even if she hadn't, she didn't like to talk about these things.
Patrick raised his hand. Cindy thought he was going to hit her and quickly covered her face, shrinking into the corner and shouting, "If you dare hit me, I'll really tell. You know my best friend is a classmate of a senior executive at Facebook, right? I'll put you two on the trending list and let everyone know."
Patrick grabbed her chin and forced her to look into his eyes.
Cindy was in pain. She grabbed his wrist, trying to pull it away, but couldn't budge it.
"You just said we have nothing to do with each other?" Patrick's hot breath sprayed on her face, filled with anger.
Cindy glared at Patrick angrily, "We really have nothing to do with each other..." Before she could finish, Patrick silenced her with a forceful kiss, leaving her unable to speak another word.
What do you think?
