Chapter 795 I Won't Let You Off

Theodore walked up to Phoebe without looking back. He lowered his eyes to look at her and said, "Sorry, I can't take you home like this."

Phoebe sighed.

All of this was indeed because of him, but he had apologized to her twice in such a short time, which was really unnecessary.

"How are you going to get back like this?" Phoebe heard herself ask.

Theodore said, "I drove here. It's fine, you don't need to worry about me. You go ahead, I'll figure something out."

"Won't that be too much trouble for you?" Theodore was very happy inside but still pretended to ask her.

However, his thoughts had already been seen through by Phoebe. She raised her eyebrows slightly, "It is quite a bother. You could also get a room at a nearby hotel."

"That would be too much trouble. Besides, if a CEO like me goes to a hotel dressed like this, it'll be in the news tomorrow. Can you bear that?" Theodore looked at her and said.

Phoebe said, "Why wouldn't I? It's not my dignity that's at stake."

Despite her words, she still turned and walked into the building. After all, Theodore had taken the paint for her. She glanced at Vanessa, who was lying on the ground and couldn't get up, and met her venomous gaze.

Phoebe pursed her lips, walked to the closed glass door, and knocked. The bodyguard saw it was her and quickly opened the door.

Theodore frowned, "Phoebe."

He clearly didn't agree with her approaching Vanessa. She had gone crazy enough to throw red paint at her; who knew if she had a knife or something on her.

Phoebe shook her head at him, "I know what I'm doing."

There had to be an end to the matter between her and Vanessa. Otherwise, dragging it out would only lead to more unforeseen complications.

Theodore pressed his lips together but ultimately relented under her determined gaze and followed the bodyguard upstairs.

After watching him leave, Phoebe turned and walked over to Vanessa and squatted down.

Theodore had kicked her hard. When she fell to the ground, the paint bucket hit her head, spilling the remaining paint all over her. She looked quite terrifying now.

But Phoebe wasn't really afraid of her. She thought Vanessa looked like a clown about to take a final bow, evoking pity.

Vanessa saw the pity in her eyes and went crazy, "Bitch, don't look at me like that. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this situation."

Phoebe said calmly, "Your situation today is not because of me, but because of your own obsession."

"Of course, you would say that. You think that by kicking me out, you can have him. If he can do this to me, one day he'll do the same to you." Vanessa tried to sow discord.noveldrama

Phoebe shook her head, "Vanessa, do you know the biggest difference between you and me?"

Vanessa stared at her with extreme disdain.

Phoebe didn't expect her to answer. She said, "You make men your everything, but I don't. Without a man, I still have my career and my family. I won't lose myself over a man and become so pathetic."

"You've never been abandoned, so of course, you can say that," Vanessa said viciously.

Phoebe suddenly laughed, "Never been abandoned? When you and Bishop conspired to set up that kidnapping plan and forced Theodore to choose between us, he chose you."

"He chose me, but my mom paid with her life for it. She had six more months," Vanessa said bitterly.

"And who exhausted her life early? Was it me?" Phoebe sneered, "Vanessa, you always see yourself as the innocent one, believing that anything bad that happens is someone else's fault. But have you ever considered who you might have wronged?"

"You went to Nyxonia to study piano, finally won a championship trophy, and were called the Piano Queen back home with a bright future. Theodore invested in Hank's movie and let you play the lead role. You fell from the wire, crippled yourself, and gave up great film opportunities. Do you know how many actors would kill for your chances? You gave it all up for a man. Honestly, I really look down on you."

Phoebe might have been upset because of Vanessa's existence in the past, but now, she only felt frustration and disappointment, with no trace of jealousy.

"He let me act because he didn't want me to get in your way. He wasn't doing it for me; he was just throwing me out as a burden," Vanessa said with burning hatred.

Phoebe should have known how twisted Vanessa's mind was. She shouldn't have said these things to her. She stood up, "That's all I have to say. Think about it yourself." Phoebe turned and walked away.

Vanessa watched her back, clenched her fists, and pounded the floor. Soon, her hands were a bloody mess.

'Phoebe, Theodore, I won't let you off. If I'm in pain, you won't be happy either!' she thought.

Phoebe only felt the venomous gaze disappear when she entered the elevator. She stood in the elevator, watching the numbers on the metal wall go up, and closed her eyes in exhaustion.

She really didn't want to get involved in any more love-hate entanglements, but she knew in her heart that as long as Theodore didn't give up on her, she could never avoid such things from happening.

She sighed. The elevator stopped, and the doors opened. When she walked in, most of the employees in the open office area were still there.

Tonight, the company's actors had an event, and the employees were working

overtime to handle any issues that might arise.

Earlier, they had seen Lori bring in a tall man covered in red paint, almost not recognizing who he was.

In a short time, what happened downstairs had spread in the internal employee group,

all in text form. No one dared to take pictures on the spot.

But even the text version was shocking enough.

Being stared at by so many eyes, Phoebe forced herself to perk up and said calmly, "It's nothing, don't let it affect your work."

"Ms. Ziegler, that woman was so arrogant, daring to cause trouble on Superstar Entertainment's turf. We could have punched her out," one person said, hands on hips, indignant.

"Yeah, Ms. Ziegler, we're not afraid of her causing trouble."

Phoebe smiled, "It's already over. Get back to work. Mr. Reynolds' secretary will come

by later. Let him go directly to the lounge to find Mr. Reynolds."

"Okay, Ms. Ziegler."

As soon as Phoebe left, the employees started whispering and discussing intensely. Their excited voices almost lifted the roof.

Phoebe walked into the lounge and heard the sound of running water from the bathroom. She looked at the paint-stained clothes and pants thrown at the bathroom door. She walked over, picked them up, took out the phone and wallet from the pockets, and then threw the clothes and pants, along with the belt, into the trash can.
