Chapter 1494
Seeing Fiona spring into action, everyone was naturally eager to learn a thing or two from her. Picking up a few skills from her demonstration would be a real
bonus.
Fiona nodded, placed her pen down, and made her way toward Allen. The crowd parted like the Red Sea, letting her through. When she reached Allen, she noticed the dark crimson blood pooling beneath him.
The pad beneath him was soaked, and the sight of the ominous dark blood made Fiona squint slightly; clearly, Allen's situation was more dire than she'd thought.
She glanced over at Christina, a cocktail of emotions in her eyes. "Christina, who usually looks after Allen's day-to-day needs?" Fiona asked.
A simple question, yet it sent a chill down Christina's spine. All eyes were on her, and she felt a wave of panic.
Christina wasn't sure if Fiona knew anything, but after a moment's hesitation, she forced a smile and said, "We've got a housekeeper who cooks for him."
Admitting to slipping hallucinogens into Allen's nightly milk wasn't an option; getting caught would spell disaster for her.
"Is the housekeeper reliable?" Fiona asked, a playful glint in her eyes. "Relax, I'm just curious."
After a pause, Christina nodded. "Yeah, she's reliable. She's been with Allen since he started his career, for many years now."
Every word Christina uttered was measured, hoping Fiona wouldn't catch on to anything. But no matter how well she played her part, eyes never lie.
Fiona, sharp as ever, would see right through it. She moved to Allen's side, pressing firmly on his pricked finger. A drop of dark blood hit the floor, and a doctor quickly handed Fiona a wet wipe.noveldrama
Fiona wiped her hand clean and tossed the wipe into a nearby trash can. "Christina, doesn't Allen's blood seem a bit off to you?" she asked, her voice carrying a hint of intrigue.
Christina glanced at Fiona, bewildered, then regained her composure and shook her head. "I'm not a doctor, I wouldn't know. Besides, that's your realm of expertise, not mine."
Fiona just smiled, leaving Christina even more unnerved. The less Fiona said, the more anxious Christina became.
Taking a deep breath, Christina
decided to confront Fiona. She
wanted to see what game Fiona was playing. "Ms. Fiona, the director said
your medical skills are top-notch. I'm
curious just how skilled you are. Allen's been out for so long, and
you've used so many needles. If something goes wrong, can you take responsibility?"
Fiona didn't bother with explanations. Instead, she went back to guiding the other doctors.
By four in the afternoon, Allen's blood finally returned to a normal color. Fiona then removed the silver needles from his body, placing them in a disinfectant solution.
She grabbed a fresh set of silver needles and began inserting them into various vital points on Allen's body. "Watch closely, this is a one-time clinical opportunity," Fiona informed the group of doctors behind her.
Some had already whipped out their phones to record the procedure. They
wouldn't let such a golden learning opportunity slip by.
"Ms. Fiona, that can't be the right way to use those needles, can it?" Christina was taken aback. After pulling out so many needles, Fiona was inserting more. This didn't seem like saving someone; it looked more like harming them. She stood protectively in front of Allen. "Ms. Fiona, you owe me an explanation."
