Chapter 1359
Chapter 1359:
Curiosity flickered across Madisyn’s features.
“A business trip?” Her question hung in the air.
Andrew drew closer, a mysterious smile playing at his lips. “No, nothing like that.”
“What is it then?” Madisyn studied his face, noting how his expression held none of the usual gravity of work-related matters.
Andrew didn’t prolong the suspense. His lips curved into a gentle smile as he lifted his black briefcase. With deliberate care, he opened it.
There, nestled inside, was a perfectly wrapped package of crispy corn.
Madisyn’s eyes lit up with recognition at the familiar logo.
“From the famous shop on Colto Road!”
“You mentioned wanting some, didn’t you? Here, try it while it’s still warm.” Andrew carefully extracted the treat and offered it to Madisyn, his movements precise and thoughtful.
The familiar aroma wafted up to Madisyn, along with the comforting warmth that still clung to the package. Her heart swelled with emotion. Just last night, she had mentioned the crispy corn from Colto Road in passing—not even expressing a direct desire for it. Yet here was Andrew, having gone out of his way to bring it to her.
It struck her then how Andrew had always been this way, treasuring every word she spoke, no matter how casual. This thoughtfulness, this quiet attention to detail, warmed her heart more deeply than any display of wealth or power ever could.
“Thank you, Andrew,” Madisyn murmured.
Andrew reached out playfully, gently tapping her nose with his finger. His smile widened as he said, “It’s nothing special. Come on, sit down and enjoy it.”
Andrew slipped his arm protectively around Madisyn’s waist, guiding her to a comfortable seat. Once she was settled, he moved with practiced care—pouring water, laying out tissues, his eyes never straying far from her face as she savored her treat.
In the garden, the servants couldn’t help but observe the tender scene unfolding before them.

“Just look at how he dotes on her,” one whispered dreamily. “Every little detail, he thinks of it all. She’s always his first priority. Now that’s what I call true love.”
“Indeed,” another concurred softly. “For all their status in society, they have none of those awful rich people habits you hear about. Heaven, grant them this happiness forever.”
“You know what they say about pregnancy being a risky time for marriages,” a third murmured. “But look at her—she must be the most cherished mother-to-be I’ve ever laid eyes on.”
The servants’ whispered observations went unnoticed by the couple. After Madisyn finished the last morsel of corn, she and Andrew made their way back to the living room.
Later that evening, settled comfortably on their bed, Madisyn looked up at Andrew with gentle eyes.
“Honey, could you hand me the baby’s storybook?”
“Of course.”
Andrew retrieved the book for her—a nightly ritual they’d adopted on Susan’s recommendation.
