A Reborn Bride Pearl Emerging from Dust

Chapter 412

The Baker family all knew, even if they didn't openly admit it, that Silas had contributed immensely to the family's success. So when Calliope overheard Gideon speaking dismissively about Silas in front of a crowd, she was furious.

Anyone unaware of the truth might have thought that Silas owed his status to the Bakers, but Calliope knew better. And if she knew, she was going to stand by her man, no matter what.

Calliope looked up at Silas, her eyes firm with determination. As she unbuttoned his shirt, she couldn't resist tracing her fingers along his collarbone. Silas had a body that was simply irresistible. Years of a disciplined lifestyle and regular workouts had sculpted him into a masterpiece, complete with a chiseled eight- pack and flawless skin.

"No one messes with you, not on my watch," Calliope declared, her voice firm. "You're my man!"

Silas looked down at her, then swept her up into his arms, tumbling them both onto the bed. He leaned down, capturing her lips with his own.

"It's my job to protect you," he murmured between kisses.

"No, I want to protect you too. Don't forget, your wife is pretty awesome herself!" Calliope shot back with a playful smirk.

Silas chuckled softly, "I know."

Before she could say anything else, his kisses deepened, leaving Calliope breathless and speechless. They spent the night making love, over and over again...

Silas couldn't get enough of her, having been away on a business trip and missing her terribly. The consequence was that the next morning, with the wedding to attend, Calliope could barely bring herself to get out of bed.

"My legs are so sore," Calliope pouted, casting a mock glare at Silas. "All those different positions..."

"Didn't you enjoy it?" Silas teased, planting a kiss on her cheek. "I recall you sounded pretty happy last night."

Calliope blushed, "No matter how good it feels, it's exhausting."

"Are you sore?" Silas asked gently. "Let me have a look."

As he started to pull the covers back, Calliope's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink. "No!"

"Why shy now? I saw everything last night," Silas teased, holding her leg firmly. "Let me check."

Calliope relented, lying still. Despite

his gentleness, the night's adventures had pushed her to her

limits. It was exhilarating and new, but hi stamina was relentless,

leaving her begging for mercy

towards the end.

"A bit red," Silas noted with a touch of concern. "I'll put some ointment on it later."

Calliope huffed in response. "No more touching me this week!"

"Sweetheart!" Silas's voice was full of mock despair. "A whole week? That's impossible!"

"Yes, it is! Some people only do it once a month!" Calliope retorted, cheeks puffed in defiance.

Silas groaned, "I'm not an old man! I'm young!"noveldrama

"Doesn't matter! Overindulgence is harmful, and as a naturopath, I know these things!" Calliope said with seriousness. "We need to beo moderate for our health!"

"I don't believe it!" Silas grumbled, looking utterly dejected.

"I don't care, I can't handle it!" Calliope declared, slipping off the bed and dashing into the bathroom.

"Sweetheart, think we should

practice more, so you get used to it.

Then it won't be uncomfortable,"

Silas reasoned, standing at the.

bathroom door with a hopeful expression. "I think we're just doing

it too

too little!"
